Hoffmaestro

Jonathan Rikner works as Lighting Designer for the Swedish band Hoffmaestro and occasionally also takes on the role of Tour Manager. In this role, he is responsible for developing and operating the lighting design for the band’s live performances.

Over the years, he has contributed to shaping the visual presentation of Hoffmaestro’s shows by creating lighting that supports the energy and character of the music. His designs focus on clear visual structure, dynamic movement, and balanced color palettes that complement the band’s performance while maintaining flexibility for different types of venues and stages.

A notable project within this collaboration was Hoffmaestro’s 20-year anniversary concert at Cirkus on 1 November 2025. For this show, Rikner designed and operated the lighting for the production, adapting the visual setup to the theater environment while maintaining the atmosphere and energy that characterizes the band’s live performances.

In addition to the creative aspects, Rikner works closely with the band and the technical crew to ensure the production runs smoothly on tour. His approach focuses on practical solutions, clear communication, and adapting the lighting design to different venues and production conditions while keeping the visual experience consistent for the audience.
