Jonathan Rikner’s work with M.I.A. during the 2025 Australian tour combined powerful video design with precisely synchronized lighting to enhance the visual narrative of each performance.

Through custom-built projections, dynamic color palettes, and carefully timed effects, they created atmospheric stage environments that emphasized both the political intensity of the music and the artist’s stage presence. The result was a cohesive visual experience that strengthened the connection between sound, image, and performance.

The collaboration was well received by both audiences and critics. Following the tour’s success, the partnership is continuing with plans for future joint productions. Together, they are exploring new visual concepts and technical solutions for upcoming shows and multimedia projects, while refining creative strategies to adapt to varying arena environments and audience sizes.
